My Doctor diagnosed Arthritis in my ankles, knees, shoulders and hands and told me to take painkillers. Shoulders, I had to help ease my arm up, my ankles and knees were very painful that to walk up stairs I went up on all fours and my ankles cracked when I walked. My hands were open and all my finger joints swollen.

Age 73, reasonable health up to 7 years ago when, out of the blue, I was afflicted with Polymyalgia Rheumatica which lasted some two and a half years, medication given was steroids.

I have been playing football on a regular basis for nearly forty years. A couple of months ago I noticed that after playing I was experiencing considerable pains in the joints of my right knee and each time I played the pain got worse and took longer and longer to ease off. I was introduced to copper heelers by my Auntie, Anita Wilde. I have struggled for a diagnosis for the past 2 years as I suffer from great pain in the top of my leg since having a back problem.

I was talking to a work colleague about my knees being painful and becoming stiff if I was inactive for any length of time.

I purchased a pair in October 2008 and found that after 2 weeks I was able to walk up and down stairs in the correct way and not take one step at a time walking on a sideways angle.

Thank you for the last delivery of Copper Heelers and so happy to say they are working well and I am free from pain. Following trauma to my left ankle some 15 years ago I have been in severe and continuous pain from the resulting arthritis in the joint.

I have osteoarthritis in both my hands and my feet. My right foot began to bother me about two years ago and I was beginning to limp even when walking a short distance. As you can appreciate I found this very distressing as I had always been a keen walker and also enjoyed exercising. After having my hands and feet x-rayed which showed degeneration particularly in my right foot my GP referred me to a Podiatrist who made me special insoles for my shoes and also gave me special exercises to do. I also had six sessions of acupuncture but nothing seemed to help. I wore the insoles faithfully but the pain did not diminish at all. I have been using Copper Heelers for some years now - I don’t know how they work, but then I don’t need to, I just know that they work for me and relieve me of joint pain in my ankles.

Thank you very much for sending me your “Copper Heeler” so quickly. These copper insoles were recommended to me as a possible help with the joint pain I have been suffering with for some time. I am a boatbuilder/cabinetmaker by trade which has meant that for much of the last 20 years I have put an enormous amount of strain on my joints – especially my knees (a lot of boat building work involves crouching and kneeling).

Having completed and sent off the questionnaire I recently received from you, it occurs to me that the few lines I wrote about the changes Copper Heelers have brought about for me do not do justice to their revolutionary effect on my life.

Six years ago I moved to Ripponden in the South Pennines, to take advantage of the wonderful walking country in this area. Unfortunately the much wetter climate soon made its mark on me in the form of stiff and painful joints. I developed pain in my fingers, wrists, elbows and knees. Walking upstairs, stepping down rocky hillsides, carrying shopping, even lifting a cup, made me wince. I dreaded getting up in the mornings because lifting my dressing gown off its hook made my arm ache unbearably. I have suffered with psoriatic arthritis for two years. Initially I was in pain throughout my entire body to the extent that I couldn’t walk; get in the bath or even go to the toilet unaided. This meant that my husband had to help look after me instead of being able to work at our busiest time of year. This had a knock-on effect of increasing financial stress – in turn the stress provokes the inflammation!

I went to my doctor, who prescribed a chemo-therapy drug which I didn’t want to take due to its recent appearance on the market place and possible side-effects, as well as the need to have weekly blood tests. I had to supplement my diet quite heavily to ensure I was not missing out any essential food elements at this point with omega 3, probiotics and a combination of colza, olive and nut oils. I was still taking the ani-inflammatories, but was able to lower the strength. I also replaced the opium based pain killers with paracetamol, and after 4 months I started to feel better.

I was worried though, as I was still taking anti-inflammatories and paracetamol on a daily basis, as the pain was still significant in my fingers, knees and feet.

I have had Arthritis in my right knee for approx. 4½ years, very painful, I could hardly drive to work in the mornings, my job was driving a crane, so I had to give up work at 64 years of age.

Was finding walking to work each day quite painful until by chance I saw your shop window. I was sceptical about buying them before taking the plunge but I had nothing to lose and all to gain.

I have found great benefits from using the copper heelers for several reasons, among them the fact that after only a few weeks of use I definitely felt less pain in my joints.
Also, they are discreet and you can forget you are wearing them. This was important to me as I developed osteoarthritis in my early 40s and felt wearing a copper bracelet made it obvious to others that I had a joint problem. I was diagnosed recently with Osteoarthritis in both knees.
